PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment method or the like for a suspension sheave of an elevator, allowing easy attachment of the new suspension sheave to an existing attachment target frame part without replacing the attachment target frame part.SOLUTION: In an attachment method for a suspension sheave of an elevator, an adapter 141 is prepared having a support part 145 rotatably supporting a new suspension sheave 31 in an upper part, and having a hook part 147 attached to an upper frame 17a of a car frame 17 in a lower part separate from the rotational axis center of the suspension sheave. The hook part is hooked onto the upper frame from below, and the new suspension sheave is attached to the upper frame through the adapter.
