PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control appropriately and smoothly the output value of an induction heating apparatus when a welding point connecting the tail end part of a preceding steel sheet to the tip part of the following steel sheet passes through the induction heating apparatus, without use of an imaging device or decrease of the line speed.SOLUTION: In a method of controlling a continuous annealing line, an induction heating controller 11 corrects the output value of an induction heating apparatus 2 when a welding point X1 passes through the induction heating apparatus 2, by using the distance L between a tracking point X1 provided on the inlet side of the induction heating apparatus 2 and the induction heating apparatus 2, a plate-passing speed set value LS of a steel plate S, a target temperature change amount &Dgr;T of the steel plate S, cross section areas w×dand w×dof a preceding steel plate S1 and the following steel plate S2, respectively, an average specific heat Cof the steel plate S, a specific gravity &rgr; of the steel plate S, an output efficiency &eegr; of the induction heating apparatus 2 and a control response time tfor the output value of the induction heating apparatus 2 to converge on a set value. |
