PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system and a device driver installation method for automatically installing a device driver necessary at the time of OS installation.SOLUTION: A computer system is configured to store a first table in which a device driver installable in the computer system and the identification information of the storage region are stored, to read a second table in which a device driver stored in a recording medium set in a drive necessary for installing a predetermined program and the identification information of the storage region are stored, to generate a third table in which the record of the frist table is inserted into the read second table, and the identification information of the device drivers stored in the first and second tables is newly numbered so as to be made unique, to generate a virtual table in which the third table and the device drivers stored in the first and second tables are associated with each other, and to search and install the device driver requested at the time of the installation of the predetermined program from the virtual table. |
