<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel ethylene-vinyl alcohol-based graft copolymer excellent in adsorptivity of semimetals, e.g. boron, its production method and a semimetal adsorbent using it.SOLUTION: An ethylene-vinyl alcohol-based graft copolymer consists of a base material component composed of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol-based copolymer and a graft chain which is introduced into the base material component and has an N-methylglucamine. The graft copolymer is obtained by a production method including a step of preparing the ethylene vinyl alcohol-based copolymer and a step of introducing the graft chain having the N-methylglucamine group into the copolymer to obtain the graft copolymer introduced with the graft chain having the N-methylglucamine group. The graft copolymer is useful as a semimetal adsorbent for boron, etc.</p> |
