<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image data from remaining in an apparatus, without being erased, when a recording material on which an image is to be formed dose not coincide with the size of a fed recording material and to prevent the reduction of the productivity of the apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes paper cassettes 101 to 103 in which the recording material is housed, a paper feeding part size setting part 124 storing the paper cassettes 101 to 103 and the size of the housed recording material, an image forming part forming the image on the recording material, a storage device 130 storing the image data to be formed by the image forming part, a determination part determining a paper feeding part used for forming the image, a detection sensor 107 detecting the width and length of the recording material conveyed on a conveyance path 123, and a CPU 122 erasing the image data stored in the storage device 130, even when the formation of the image to the recording material of a specified size is not completed, when the size of the recording material detected by the detection sensor 107 is different from the size of the recording material stored in the paper feeding part size setting part 124 corresponding to the paper feeding part determined by the determination part.</p> |
