<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology with which the light emission luminance of light sources can be controlled to appropriate values without delaying the display of an image.SOLUTION: A display device of the present invention includes light emitting means having a plurality of light sources, a display panel, and control means for controlling the light emission luminance of the light sources. The control means acquires the feature amounts of images to be displayed in a plurality of respective areas on a screen corresponding to the plurality of light sources from image data N-frames before a frame being displayed, and determines target luminances of the light sources corresponding to the areas on the basis of the acquired feature amounts of the areas. The control means includes: estimation means for estimating a movement destination area in which a moving body present in an image N-frames before the frame being displayed can move in the image in the frame being displayed, on the basis of changes in the feature amounts during periods of a plurality of frames N- or more-th frame before the frame being displayed; and correction means for correcting the target luminance of the light sources corresponding to the movement destination area.</p> |
