PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive autonomous mobile device capable of detecting a level difference between a front obstacle and a floor face substantially at the same time.SOLUTION: An autonomous mobile device 1 which moves while detecting a level difference between a front obstacle and a floor face includes: a distance sensor 21 scanning a laser beam in parallel to the floor face and measuring a distance to an object in a scan area; and mirrors 22a, 22b arranged in the scan area of the distance sensor and reflecting a portion of the laser beam in a floor face direction. |
