PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blower motor of small power consumption and small noises, which is capable of, when a power source voltage supplied to the motor exceeds a predetermined voltage, increasing the revolution speed to obtain minimum amperage necessary for reducing the voltage; and is capable of preventing increase of voltage due to a surge by avoiding abnormality detection by an upper unit by restoring the revolution speed to an abnormality detection allowable range by increasing the revolution speed to a minimum necessary extent at a low cost without requiring any additional component.SOLUTION: The blower motor includes: an overvoltage determination section 52 that, when the voltage of the power supplied to the motor is larger than a predetermined voltage, determines as an overvoltage; and a rotation controller 41 that controls the motor drive according to a predetermined instruction revolution speed and outputs an actual revolution speed. When the overvoltage determination section 52 determines as an overvoltage, the motor drive is controlled by changing to a revolution speed larger than the instruction revolution speed for a predetermined period within an abnormality detection allowable range of an upper unit. Thus, abnormality detection by the upper unit using a difference between the instruction revolution speed and actual revolution speed can be prevented. |
