PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoplifting prevention system using an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and a monitor camera, detecting that an RFID is cut off from a commodity on a display shelf and that the commodity is brought out.SOLUTION: A shoplifting prevention system using an RFID and a monitor camera is disposed with an RFID antenna on a display shelf for a commodity attached with an RFID tag, is also disposed with the monitor camera monitoring bringing-out of the commodity from the display shelf, detects that the commodity placed on the display shelf is brought out from a monitoring image of the monitor camera by comparing a present image and an image several seconds before the present image, also detects movement of the RFID tag attached to the commodity by the RFID antenna installed on the display shelf, compares movement information of both the commodity and the RFID tag, and when the movement of the commodity is detected and when the movement of the RFID tag is not detected, recognizes that the RFID tag is cut off from the commodity.
