PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel production method of an amine or ether compound which is debenzylated by a debenzylation reaction without using a heavy metal catalyst or an organic reaction reagent.SOLUTION: A production method of a debenzylated amine or ether compound by treating an unsubstituted or substituted benzyl ether or amine compound with an oxidizing agent including a peroxymonosulfate and an alkali metal halide, or a production method of an alcohol compound and a ketone compound is disclosed.
