PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for a solid oxide fuel cell capable of being thinly formed on the uneven surface of a porous electrode and furthermore having excellent airtightness, and also to provide the solid oxide fuel cell using such an electrolyte.SOLUTION: A first electrolyte 1a is formed on a porous electrode substrate E by vacuum deposition, and a second electrolyte is further formed into films on this first electrolyte 1a by a liquid phase method. Thereby, the second electrolyte 1b covers a part or the whole of the surface of the first electrolyte 1a and is filled into at least a part of the gap between columnar crystals constituting the first electrolyte 1a. |
