<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving device and a receiving method capable of suppressing deterioration in receiving performance due to spurious components.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, there is provided a receiving device for receiving a radio wave signal including a plurality of modulated sub-careers. The receiving device includes a demodulation part, a sub-career identification part, and an error correcting decoding part for performing error correction. The demodulation part demodulates the radio wave signal and generates the plurality of sub-careers. The sub-career identification part identifies a sub-career, among the plurality of sub-careers, the sub-career overlapping with the frequency of a spurious component. The error correcting decoding part performs error correction with more reliance on a sub-career not overlapping with the frequency of the spurious component than on the sub-career overlapping with the frequency of the spurious component.</p> |
