PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force permission command apparatus, an inverter controller, a vehicle controller, a railway vehicle, and a driving force permission command method capable of preventing overspeed of a wheel located within a gauge conversion interval, and preventing the wheel of a vehicle and a rail from being heavily damaged.SOLUTION: A driving force permission command apparatus according to an embodiment includes: position calculation means; and command signal generation means. The position calculation means calculates a position of a wheel controlled in predetermined units on the basis of travel position information on a vehicle and speed information on the vehicle. The command signal generation means generates a command signal on the basis of a calculation result of the position calculation means and information indicating start of a gauge converter.
