PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress bias magnetism by accurately and exactly detecting an excitation current of a transformer for conversion.SOLUTION: In an excitation current detection device for a transformer for conversion, an AC power system and a power converter are connected via a transducer for conversion, and the excitation current detection device comprises a series transformer which is connected with the transformer for conversion, and a current detector for detecting an excitation current of the transformer for conversion. The series transformer includes a coil which is connected in series to a primary winding and a secondary winding of the transformer for conversion, and a coil for detection which is connected to the coil and connected to the current detector. A winding ratio of the primary winding and the secondary winding of the transformer for conversion is made equal to a winding ratio of the coils of the series transformer connected in series to the primary winding and the secondary winding of the transformer for conversion. |
