PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle for maintenance, capable of simultaneously materializing both rushing to a work site and long-time securing of a time in which maintenance work is performed in the work site while preventing the inside of a tunnel from being filled with exhaust gas.SOLUTION: A vehicle 1 for maintenance includes: a power generator 20 generating AC power by drive of a diesel engine 10; a converter device 30 capable of converting the AC power into DC power; inverter devices 40 capable of converting the DC power into AC power; a large-capacity and low-output large capacity type battery 51 and a high-output and low-capacity high rate type battery 52; and traveling motors 3 rotating wheels 5. A controller 70 can switch over between a combination travel state in which the traveling motors 3 can be driven by the AC power generated by the power generator 20 and the DC power charged by the high rate type battery 52, and a battery travel state in which the drive of the diesel engine 10 is stopped and the traveling motors 3 can be driven by the DC power charged by the large capacity type battery 51.
