<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle crew protection device by which impact to the whole leg part of a crew can be absorbed and impact to the arm part of the crew can be absorbed too, upon vehicle front collision.SOLUTION: A knee bolster 50 bends at a front end part of a bending part 52 and pushes up an arm receiving part 30 as shown by an arrow c. When a knee part 74 contacts to a leg receiving part 53, a shin part 73 is moved to the front side as shown by an arrow d. At this moment, by bending of the knee bolster 50 at the front end part of the bending part 52, a shin receiving part 54 is moved to the rear side as shown by an arrow e. The shin receiving part 54 receives the shin part 73 and absorbs a load acting to the shin part 73 while bending as shown by an arrow f. Thus, the present invention can absorb not only a load acting to the knee part 74 but also the load acting to the shin part 73. Meanwhile, the arm receiving part 30 is pushed up by the knee bolster 50 and is moved as shown by an arrow g through releasing of engagement with an instrument panel 15.</p> |
