PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging element capable of suppressing reduction in image quality.SOLUTION: Between pupil division means 101 and a plurality of photoelectric conversion parts 121 and 122, a light separation layer 110 having a plurality of high-refractive index regions 111 and 112 arranged on the plurality of photoelectric conversion parts 121 and 122, and a low-refractive index region 113 arranged between the plurality of high-refractive index regions 111 and 112 and having a refractive index lower than that of the high-refractive index regions 111 and 112, is provided. At a boundary between the high-refractive index regions 111 and 112 and the low-refractive index region 113, the refractive index is changed in a stepwise manner. A refractive index difference of the stepwise part is 0.15 or more. |
