PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel projection zoom lens with a three-lens configuration having a refractive power distribution of negative, negative, and positive in order from the expansion side to the reduction side.SOLUTION: A projection zoom lens constitutes a projection optical system of an image display device which projects an expanded image of a projection image being displayed on an image display element onto a projection surface to present the expanded image, and has a three-lens configuration comprising, in order from the expansion side to the reduction side, a first lens group G1 having negative refractive power, a second lens group G2 having negative refractive power, and a third lens group G3 having positive refractive power and having an aperture stop located therein. |
