摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a heat generation rate waveform due to a reaction of fuel injected in a cylinder at high accuracy.SOLUTION: Among reactions of fuel injected into a cylinder from a fuel injection valve, in at least one of a low-temperature oxidation reaction, a thermal decomposition reaction and a high-temperature oxidation reaction due to premix combustion, when the fuel is injected in a temperature field with not less than a reference reaction start temperature of the reaction, a reaction start timing is set after a predetermined delay period elapses, so as to create an ideal heat generation rate waveform of the reaction. By such processing, a start timing of each reaction can be precisely defined, so as to create the ideal heat generation rate waveform at high accuracy. Also, when a combustion state is diagnosed using the ideal heat generation rate waveform, accuracy of diagnosis can be improved.
