PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging box having a box barrel part properly formed into an octagonal shape by preventing folding displacement at eight joint parts of the box barrel part from affecting pasting displacement upon pasting of side parts and by temporarily performing right-angled folding at least on a part of the eight joint parts so that the repel against folding on a whole periphery of the box barrel part is reduced and distortion is reduced.SOLUTION: The side-pasted box barrel part A having a flat shape in a cross section is formed into a rectangular shape in a cross section before the flat shape in a cross section is formed into an octagonal shape. A part between the unfolded face plates of the box barrel part A is folded outward to form the cross section of the barrel part into the octagonal shape.
