PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium which has high recording sensitivity, excellent image stability, good background fogging resistance and causes no defective color development after storage with time by the influences of adhesive components.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermosensitive recording medium which comprises a leuco dye and a coloring agent on a support and contains 2,4'-dihydroxydiphenylsulfone and 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenylsulfone synthesized from a reaction component containing an isomer mixture of dihydroxydiphenylsulfone as a coloring agent. The mass ratio between the synthesized 2,4'-dihydroxydiphenylsulfone and 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenylsulfone is 70:30 to 95:5. |
