PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion material which exhibits excellent properties as an electron donor or an electron acceptor and is readily soluble in an organic solvent.SOLUTION: A BHJ solar cell comprises a photoelectric conversion layer containing a mixture of a donor domain and an acceptor domain. The donor domain comprises a polymer obtained by further reaction of a polyphenylene represented by the general formula in the figure, and the polymer acts as a donor (photoelectric conversion material). An acceptor forming the acceptor domain is, e.g., phenyl-C-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM). |
