PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound playing device enabling tuning of a guitar instrument while playing.SOLUTION: A karaoke device has a RAM49 for storing karaoke music data, specifies an open string performance region in which a performance by open string is designated in TAB score data, reads and reproduces the stored karaoke music data, displays the TAB score data in accordance with a reproduction of the karaoke music data, and inputs a performance signal of an electric guitar 4 by a user, generates actual pitch data based on the performance signal, determines a tuning state of a string of the electric guitar 4 based on comparison result between the actual pitch data and target pitch data when the open string performance region of specific one karaoke music data is reproduced, and displays whether or not the tuning state of the string of the electric guitar 4 is good according to the determination result.
