PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-up display device capable of preventing significant degradation of the virtual image generating capability even if one of screens has some kind of anomaly by substituting a screen having no anomaly therefor.SOLUTION: A head-up display device generates a virtual image of an image to be viewed by a driver 7 of a vehicle 2 by projecting the image from a projector 4 onto a first screen 20 and a second screen 21, and reflecting the images projected on the first screen 20 and the second screen 21 onto a windscreen 6 of the vehicle 2 for the driver 7 to see the images. The head-up display is configured to allow the on-screen image projection mode to be switched between a first projection mode in which an image from the projector 4 is projected onto the first screen 20 and the second screen 21, and a second projection mode in which an image is projected only onto the first screen 20. |
