PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device for a vehicle which can suppress increase of a physique of the device as a whole though having two power transmission paths in parallel.SOLUTION: In a power transmission device 12 having two power transmission paths of a main power transmission path 26 and a sub-power transmission path 28, since the power transmission device comprises only a single engagement-type clutch 14 for connecting and disconnecting the two power transmission paths, a physique of the power transmission device 12 can be reduced in comparison with the case that a plurality of clutches for connecting and disconnecting the power transmission of the two power transmission device are arranged. Therefore, even if the power transmission device 12 comprises the two power transmission paths in parallel, increase of a physique of the power transmission device 12 can be suppressed as a whole. By this constitution, in the power transmission device 12 having the two power transmission paths, the mountability of the device to a vehicle 10 can be improved. |
