PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curb early deterioration of a battery by preventing the same from being charged with electric power exceeding chargeable capacity thereof when power generation by a motor generator and power regeneration by a drive motor are required.SOLUTION: When a sum of a first power generation request value which is an original request value of electric power to be generated and a first power regeneration request value which is the original request value of the electric power to be regenerated exceeds chargeable capacity, a hybrid vehicle control device: adjusts at least either the first power generation request value or the first power regeneration request value so that the sum of the actual electric power generated by a motor generator 20 and the actual regenerative electric power regenerated by a drive motor 40 becomes not more than the chargeable capacity; and sets the respective adjusted request values as the power generation request value used for control command of an engine 10 and the motor generator 20 and as the power regeneration request value used for the control command of the drive motor 40.
