PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat reclining device which caan be made thin without causing reduction in strength.SOLUTION: An upper bracket 22 constituting a first bracket includes first and second peripheral wall parts 24A, 24B, provided in a stepped manner. Additionally, in the upper bracket 22, its body part 22a and each peripheral wall part 24 are integrally formed by plastic working (press working) of a sheet-like metallic material. Then, the upper bracket 22 uses a stepped part 60 formed by a portion pushed out toward an external surface S2 when the second peripheral wall part 24B is formed as a fitting part, the stepped part 60 of the upper bracket 22 is fitted in a fitting recessed part 61 provided to a seat back side member 13 to be a fixing target portion Pb, and the upper bracket 22 is welded to the seat back side member 13, using the peripheral edge of the stepped part 60 as a welding part. |
