PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microbicide for controlling various pathogens in the agricultural and horticultural fields which mitigates problems of residual toxicity and environmental pollution.SOLUTION: A microbicide contains, as an active ingredient, a 2-amino nicotinic acid benzyl derivative represented by the general formula in the figure, a representative example of which is 2-amino-6-methyl nicotinic acid-4-(benzyloxy).
