PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preferred balloon catheter for coronary artery vessel intervention, being smoothly inserted till a constricted portion and being less prone to slide when being inflated at the constricted portion.SOLUTION: A balloon 120 includes: a first base material surface 121 where a first irregular surface B1 is formed; a second base material surface 122 where a second irregular surface B2, the irregularity of which is different from that of the first irregular surface B1, is formed; and a hydrophilic polymer membrane 400 that covers the first and second base material surfaces 121 and 122. The irregularity of the second irregular surface B2 has such shape that the hydrophilic polymer film 400 is unlikely to stick thereto compared with the irregularity of the first irregular surface B1, or that the hydrophilic polymer film 400 is likely to peel therefrom compared with the irregularity of the first irregular surface. |
