<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an eddy current loss in a support member of a rotor of an axial gap motor.SOLUTION: An axial gap motor comprises: a rotor having a disc-like support member and a plurality of permanent magnet segments arranged in a circumferential direction at a regular pitch angle between a hub part of the support member and an outer peripheral part, and the rotor being rotatably fixed to an output shaft together with the output shaft; and a stator arranged oppositely to the rotor while remaining a predetermined gap to the rotor, at least one side of the rotor. At the outer peripheral part of the stator, a plurality of field coil slots for generating a rotating magnetic field are arranged at a regular pitch angle in the circumferential direction, and a material of the support member at inside from a position slightly separated from the permanent magnet segments between the permanent magnet segments is notched.</p> |
