摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a sheet conveyance distance from first detection to second detection according to a sheet length when width-directional ends of the sheet are detected by two sensors.SOLUTION: A sensor unit 1105 has three lateral position sensors 1104a to 1104c arrayed along a sheet width. For lateral end detection, a finisher control part 501 moves the sensor unit 1105 at a first moving speed Vs1 while conveying the sheet in a conveyance direction, acquires a sheet length Ls from acquired sheet size information, and calculates and sets a second moving speed Vs2 based upon the sheet length Ls, a sensor arrangement interval A, a sheet conveyance speed Vp, the first moving speed Vs1, and a movement distance X1 once the lateral position sensor 1104a turns ON. Then the sensor unit 1105 is moved at the second moving speed Vs2 and the lateral position sensor 1104b performs second detection on a sheet lateral end part.</p>
