The invention relates to an ion exchange resin having chelating properties that is obtained by polycondensation in a base medium: - of at least a first chelating phenol monomer that has the following general formula (I): in which m = 0, 1, 2 or 3; n = 0, 1 or 2; R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 represent H, an -OH, C1 to C10 alkyl or alkoxy, aryl, -SO3H, or -COOR group, where R = H or C1 to C10 alkyl, -P(O)(OR)(OR') or -C(O)NRR' where R and R' = H and/or C1 to C10 alkyl; with the condition that at least one of R1 to R5 = -OH and at least two of R1 to R5 = H; - of at least a second phenol monomer, that does not have the general formula (I); and - of formaldehyde. The invention also relates to a method for preparing this resin and the uses of said resin. Applications: decontamination of caesium and/or strontium in an aqueous medium, in particular in the nuclear industry. |
