The present invention provides an intruder detection system using a multi-antenna capable of improving an intruder detection performance by using change amounts of a radio wave signal which is changed by a space or an environment, and a method thereof. The intruder detection system receives a wireless signal through a plurality of receiving antennas every predetermined times during a measuring period and sets a threshold value by using the wireless signal received at an interval of the predetermined time and calculates a signal characteristic value by using the wireless signal received at an interval of the predetermined time during the measuring period and senses the intrusion of a monitoring space according to a comparison result of the signal characteristic value and the threshold value. |
