The present invention relates to a user input method using mobile devices and a mobile device thereof. The method, which enables the mobile device to conduct a mobile device operation based on a user input, includes the steps of selecting one or the multiple input modes of the mobile device as the mobile device is placed onto a plate; receiving a user′s knocking input occurring as the user knocks on the plate which has the mobile device arranged on a surface; and performing an operation corresponding to the knocking input based on the selected input mode. |
