<p>This vehicle door lock device (100) comprises a housing (101) and a protective member (130) that is separate. The protective member (130) is provided with a main body section (131) and a cover section (141) that are connected to each other via a hinge section (150). The main body section (131) is provided with: upright walls (136, 137) that rise upward from an extended surface of the main body section; and a cable-holding groove that is formed so as to open on the upper edge section of the upright walls (136, 137) and that is for holding both an inside open cable (W1) that connects an inside door handle (13) and a lock mechanism (120) and a locking cable (W2) that connects a door lock knob (15) and the lock mechanism (120). The cover section (141) is capable of rotational movement around the hinge section (150) to a closed position, is arranged below the upper edge section of the upright wall (136) in an extended position, and is provided with an interference prevention structure that prevents interference with a work area for work in which a cable is mounted to a cable-holding groove.</p> |
