PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of lithium used in conventional lithium ion secondary batteries: the resource of lithium is unevenly distributed and lithium is in danger of causing a fire and corrosion; and it has been demanded to multiply an energy density.SOLUTION: An electrolyte solution containing magnesium chloride and propylene carbonate is used as an electrolyte solution for a battery which comprises a positive electrode 2 for the battery using silicon consisting of a fine element 6 mainly composed of carbon containing carbon fine particles such as graphite and carbon nano tubes, fine particles 4 mainly composed of silicon, transition metal oxide 5 and carrier; a negative electrode 10 consisting of a metal electrode mainly composed of magnesium; an electrolytic solution 7; a separator 8 between them; and a collector. |
