<p>The present invention relates to a refrigerator to replace a refrigerator control method from a touch type to a combination of two types of proximity sensors. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the refrigerator comprises: a proximity sensing unit placed in front of the refrigerator, detecting a user′s gesture to control an operation of the refrigerator; a memory unit storing the user′s gesture; and a control unit controlling the refrigerator in accordance to a detection result of the proximity sensing unit. The refrigerator can additionally have a display unit displaying the user setting menu of the refrigerator.</p> |
