PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means and a method for avoiding a false positive result of TpN17-based immunoassays for detection of anti-Treponema antibodies, and increasing variants.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for detecting antibodies against a TpN17 antigen of Treponema pallidum in an isolated sample, in which a peptide sequence of Vibrio cholerae lipoprotein 15 (VcLp15) or a partial sequence thereof is used as a reagent for reduction of interference, that is, for minimizing false positive results. In addition, the present invention relates to; fusion polypeptides including a VcLp15 peptide sequence and a chaperone; use of the fusion polypeptides as an additive in an immunoassay for the reduction of interferences and for minimizing false positive results; and a reagent kit for detecting antibodies against Treponema pallidum antigens in an isolated sample including a TpN17 antigen and the VcLp15-chaperone fusion polypeptide. |
