PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cassette which enables a user to recognize the type of a tape by visually checking the appearance of a tape cassette.SOLUTION: In a tape cassette 30, a printing tape is stored in a cassette case 31. An arm part 34 which guides traveling of the printing tape to eject the printing tape from an opening 34a is provided on a front surface of the cassette case 31. On an arm front surface 35 of the arm part 34, an arm identification part 800 indicating a tape type of the tape cassette 30 is provided at a position located adjacent to the opening 34a. One surface of the printing tape ejected from the opening 34a is exposed on the front side of the tape cassette 30 where the arm identification part 800 is visible. A rear recessed part is provided on the rear surface side of the tape cassette 30. The rear recessed part is located at a position facing the arm identification part 800 and has a common region with the arm identification part 800 in a horizontal direction. |
