PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot arm including a joint having an articulated inflatable structure excellent in maneuverability.SOLUTION: An articulated structure comprises a tubular inflatable casing 1 which contains a fluid under pressure and includes a central axis 2 along which at least one fixed geometry segment 1.1 and at least one variable geometry segment 1.2 are defined, and an arm which includes means for deforming the variable geometry segment 1.2. The casing 1 and the deformation means are configured so as to generate curvature in the variable geometry segment 1.2 in such a manner that the variable geometry segment maintains a substantially constant volume. A robot arm includes such a structure.
