<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that, when forming an image as object of image formation on a recording medium, can form a larger image than ever before without losing the content of the image. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: an image region detection unit 101 that detects an image region ima from data read by a manuscript reading unit 5; a determination unit 105 that determines whether the image region ima falls within an image formation region, on a recording medium, detected by an image-formation-region detecting unit 104; a processing unit 106 that, if the determination unit 105 determines that the image region ima does not fall within the image formation region, executes processing of setting the image region ima within the image formation region; and an image forming unit 12 that makes an image formation of the image region ima, processed by the processing unit 106, within the image forming region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
