PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate recognizing a character in an image in which fogging and blur occur.SOLUTION: An image processing device 1 includes an image reception part 11 for receiving input image data inputted from the outside, a first image processing part 12 for detecting a character part of an image based on the input image data from the input image data, a thickness calculation part 13 for calculating the thickness of a character of the detected character part, a parameter storage part 14 for storing a correspondence table obtained by associating the thickness of a character with a detection parameter predetermined to separate character overlapping, a parameter detection part 15 for acquiring a detection parameter corresponding to the detected thickness, and a second image processing part 16 for using the detection parameter to detect a character part having no character overlapping from the input image data. |
