PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix material capable of effectively improving strength characteristics or the like of a structure composed of a carbon fiber composite reinforcement material by enhancing adhesiveness with a carbon fiber with ease and at a low cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a matrix material for a carbon fiber composite material which contains a matrix resin as a resin component. The matrix resin contains at least a first epoxy resin composed of a multifunctional glycidylamine-type epoxy resin having four epoxy groups in one molecule. In addition, at least any one of a p-aminophenol-type epoxy resin having three epoxy groups in one molecule or a tetramethylbiphenol-type solid epoxy resin having two epoxy groups in one molecule may be added to the matrix resin. Further, the matrix resin has an average epoxy equivalent of 99 to 163. |
