PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cushion pad capable of accurately pasting a magnetic substance-filled tape piece on the prescribed position of a rear face material without requiring the performance of sewing and without causing a positional lag with a permanent magnet in a mold surface, and further capable of preventing the formation of a gap between the mold surface and the rear face material.SOLUTION: In the method for producing a cushion pad in which a rear face material 2 is set in a foaming mold 6, and thereafter, through the injection of a foaming raw material g and the closing of the mold, a pad body 1 deposited and integrated with the rear face material 2 is foam-molded, pre-molding is performed from a planar sheet material 2A into a rear face material 2 to which a solid form is applied so as to correspond to the rear face shape of the pad body 1, and also, a recessed part 4 whose bottom wall 42 is flat is applied along the outer periphery 22, on the other hand, a magnetic substance-filled tape piece 5 in accordance with the size of the bottom wall 42 is produced, next, the magnetic substance-filled tape piece 5 is pasted to the bottom wall 42, subsequently, the magnetic substance-filled tape piece 5 is magnetically adsorbed into a permanent magnet 75 exposed to a mold surface 7a to set the magnetic substance-filled tape piece-fitted rear face material 2 in the foaming mold 6, and thereafter, the pad body 1 in which the magnetic substance-filled tape piece 5-fitted rear face 2 is deposited and integrated into the rear face 1b is foam-molded.
