<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for electrostatic charge dissipation.SOLUTION: An electrostatic charge dissipation system 10 includes an electrostatic discharge assembly 14 configured to be connected to a conductive article 12. The electrostatic discharge assembly 14 includes a conductor 16, an insulator 18 positioned between the conductor 16 and the conductive article 12, and an indicator 20 electrically connected to the conductor and the conductive article 12. The indicator 20 is configured to indicate a discharge of an electrostatic charge. The indicator 20 is configured to provide a resistance to the electrostatic potential of an electrostatic charge developing on a person. The indicator 20 limits the magnitude and extend the duration of a current flow from the discharge of the electrostatic charge, thus any hurtful or uncomfortable sensation (e.g., shock) received by the charged person is lessened or eliminated.</p> |
