摘要 <p>A handcart (1) that performs an inverted pendulum control and can get over steps with improved ease, in which an auxiliary ascent unit (13) is arranged in front of (forward direction) a wheel (11), in the travelling direction. The auxiliary ascent unit (13) comprises a frame (131) connected to a main body (10) (or a rotary shaft of the wheel (11)), and a second auxiliary wheel (130) that is supported by the frame (131). The lower edge of the second auxiliary wheel (130) is attached at a position that is higher than the lower edge of the wheel (11), and is formed so as to not contact the ground during travel. The auxiliary ascent unit (13) is for, when a step is present in the travelling direction of the handcart (1), contacting the ground of the step first and imparting a force in the direction that lifts handcart (1) with the auxiliary ascent unit (13) acting as the fulcrum.</p>
