<p>PURPOSE: An electric power steering apparatus is provided to prevent a change of a hinge position about the lower part of a steering column by forming a hinge center about an up-down locus toward a shaft in operating a lower tilt type tilt - telescopic device. CONSTITUTION: An electric power steering apparatus comprises a pair of tilt - telescopic actuators(6,5) and a tilt bridge(10). The tilt - telescopic actuators are mounted on a steering column(1). The tilt - telescopic actuators practices tilt - telescopic action to an steering inner column. The lower part of the steering column is connected to a rack gear by including a worm wheel. The upper part of the steering column is composed of the steering inner column which is connected to a steering wheel. A tilt bridge rotates with the steering inner column.</p> |
