PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film which has hydrolysis resistance in which deterioration in mechanical properties is suppressed even when used for a long time under severe natural environments such as high temperature and high humidity and has excellent appearance in which foreign material and gel defects or the like are suppressed.SOLUTION: There is provided a polyester film which comprises a layer containing a polymer component composed mainly of a polyester, (A) a monofunctional epoxy compound and (B) an organic acid alkali metal salt and/or an organic acid alkali earth metal salt. The polyester film contains 0.0015 to 0.045 wt.% of the (B) component based on 100 wt.% of a composition containing the polymer component and the (B) component and contains 0.15 to 5 pts.wt. of the (A) monofunctional epoxy compound based on 100 pts.wt. of the composition, the ratio (C/M) of the number of carbon atoms C included in the component (B) to the number of metal ions M is 15 or less, and the formula weight of an anion component constituting the component (B) is 750 or less. |
