PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dog clutch control device for an automatic transmission which can perform quick gear change motion when a sleeve is moved to and engaged with a dog clutch at a gear change.SOLUTION: A thrust load which is displaceable to tooth grooves 30b8 and 30b10 formed at a clutch rear tooth 30b2 by withstanding a friction force generated by the abutment of a tip part 36a4 of a high tooth 36a1 of a sleeve 36 and a tip part 30b4 of the clutch rear tooth 30b2 is added to a third thrust load F4 which displaces the sleeve 36 toward a third stroke position S2 located rearward rather than a second stroke position S4 at a tip part of the clutch rear tooth 30b2 after reaching the second stroke position S4 being the tip part of the clutch rear tooth 30b2 by withstanding a friction force generated by the abutment of the tip part of the high tooth 36a1 of the sleeve 36 and the tip part 30b4 of the clutch rear tooth 30b2 alternately with a thrust force which can secure relative rotation between the sleeve 36 and a dog clutch part 30a.
