PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for measuring a dynamic load on a tire.SOLUTION: A vehicle tire load sensing system includes a distance sensor mounted on the vehicle adjacently to each tire. The distance sensor senses a distance from the distance sensor up to a wheel track left on the ground during forward movement of the vehicle. A pressure sensor generates a tire pressure signal. A temperature sensor senses an atmospheric temperature. A control unit receives a distance signal, the pressure signal and a temperature signal. The control unit generates a filtered distance signal and determines a distortion value of the tire from the filtered distance signal. The control unit determines the load on the tire in accordance with the distortion value of the tire, the pressure signal, and information in which tire distortion to the tire load and the pressure of the tire are stored in association with each other. |
